A Prayer for Intention

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you today with a grateful heart, recognizing your great power and wisdom. I thank you, Lord, for your many blessings and the love that you show me each day. I pray that you would guide my intentions and actions, and help me to be a better human being.

In your word, I am reminded that I should love my neighbor as ourselves. (Mark 12:31) I ask that you would give me the courage and compassion to do just that. Help me to be mindful of those around me, and to treat them with kindness and respect, regardless of their background or beliefs.

I also ask for your guidance in my personal life. As I seek to fulfill my ambitions and desires, I pray that I would remain humble and compassionate. Help me to use my talents and resources to make the world a better place, and to be a blessing to others.

In the book of Proverbs, we are reminded that “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3) I ask that you would bless my efforts and give me the strength to persevere in the face of challenges. May my work be a reflection of your love and grace, and to use my success to serve others.

Finally, I pray for peace and unity in our world. I ask that you would heal the divisions that separate us and help us to build bridges of understanding and compassion. As your word says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)

Thank you for your love and your grace. I pray all of these things in Jesus’ name.

Amen.
