A Simple Prayer of Gratitude

Father,

As I reflect on my life, I am humbled by the many blessings you have bestowed upon me. I am grateful for my health, my family and friends, my home, my job, and all the opportunities you have given me.

As it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” I understand that even in difficult times, you are working for my good. You are teaching me valuable lessons and shaping me into the person you want me to be. For this, I am grateful.

I am also reminded of Psalm 107:1, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” Your love and mercy are everlasting, and I am grateful for the sacrifice you made for me on the cross. Your love has saved me, and I am eternally grateful.

Lord, I pray that you help me to cultivate a heart of gratitude. Help me to be mindful of the blessings in my life and to thank you for them every day. May my gratitude lead me to serve others and to be a reflection of your love and kindness in the world.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
