Why Reading the Bible is Important

“God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Tim. 3:16)

Reading and studying the Word of God shows us all the things that God has done for us. The Bible shows and teaches us how He has led men forward. The Bible shows how God has given step-by-step guidance through their lives and how this same guidance can help each of us.

His word has not changed and is the same as yesterday, today, and tomorrow. By reading the Word we begin to develop an understanding and gain wisdom and knowledge as God imparts it to us. But we only can receive this by reading.

The Bible is a Holy Book, a monumental work, and is full of life’s riches for every person willing to nourish himself in its riches.

Every believer should realize the importance of this duty and continue reading it throughout life.
